Dr. Geoff Hayden
Geoff Hayden, MD, is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Hayden graduated from the University of Virginia medical school in 2002, and completed a residency and chief residency in Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University from 2002-2006. He then pursued a fellowship in point-of-care ultrasound at the University of Pennsylvania in 2006-2007. Dr. Hayden has directed several emergency ultrasound programs while also serving as core faculty at academic Emergency Medicine residency programs. His research interests include the role of asynchronous learning in provider education (http://www.emergencyultrasoundteaching.com) and point-of-care ultrasound. Dr. Hayden is currently a co-director of the Design Thinking curriculum in the Sidney Kimmel Medical College. He’s an avid believer that medicine + design = better medicine.
